Formatting is the process of completely removing the data from your hard disk or partitions. Once the drive or partition is formatted, it is ready for data storage and processing. There are numerous reasons for partitions or drives to be formatted or re-formatted from your computer. Some of the most prominent reasons for formatting partitions are as follows:
- A new drive must be formatted before usage as it cannot be used without formatting
- When the system is infected with virus or malware attack the data processing becomes slow resulting in slow system response. In such cases we format the hard drive, so that data processing speed may increase
- If there are frequent system errors or if you experience BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death), formatting the hard disk may fix the issue
- While reinstalling operating system, we may format the hard drive
All the above-mentioned reasons result in formatting the hard drive. Sometimes, while formatting the hard drive, we may end up accidentally formatting different drive or partition resulting in loss of important data. While re-installing the operating system you may accidentally format a wrong partition resulting in loss or deletion of data present in that partition. You may also delete or format partitions accidentally while trying to create new partitions using disk management utilities, which may result in accidental deletion or formation of different drive or partition. Corruption in partition table or errors caused while partitioning due to usage of third party partitioning tools may also result in loss of data.
How to recover data from formatted drive?
However, deleted or lost data from formatted / re-formatted or deleted partitions can be recovered easily using formatted data recovery software. As and when you realize that data from the hard disk is deleted or partitions are deleted from your hard disk, it is recommended to stop using the hard disk immediately as the new data saved or downloaded on the affected hard disk may overwrite the existing data, resulting in permanent loss of data, sometimes even beyond recovery. Hence, it is always recommended to install Remo Recovery software on a healthy computer and then connect the affected hard drive as a slave and perform the recovery process. This software can be installed on Windows 7, Vista and XP operating systems and the user must be logged in as administrator. The computer must have a minimum of 50 MB storage space and 512 MB RAM to install the software. Once the software is installed, you can follow the simple systematic steps provided, to recover and restore deleted data from formatted hard drives. The software supports recovery of data from SATA/SCSI/ATA hard drives, external hard drives, USB drives and flash memory cards. Once the software recovers that data, it can be previewed. When you are completely satisfied with the recovery results, you can purchase the software and recover the data completely.
