One of the great things about programs to recover digital photos is that they can usually be used for many other unique data recovery purposes. Not only will these programs recover deleted photos but they will also locate and reconstruct files for music, videos and smart phone applications. Virtually any digital media or device that can plug into your personal computer by means of a USB Port or card reader is a valid prospect for data recovery.
I was amazed recently when I was able to use a Remo Software digital media recovery tool to the scan all of the files in my brand new Palm Pre phone. I was even able to open digital image files and preview them. So many software programs claim to be efficient and quick for digital photo recovery and yet they are unable to perform these other basic functions which are closely related to that task.
